AF International's retail range on display at this year's SOPX show

The Stationery & Office Products Show 2009 brought together both resellers and suppliers under one roof. SOPX offered more products and a wider range of suppliers than in the previous year focusing on everything from notebooks, writing instruments, filing products and desk accessories to EOS, machines, whiteboards and of course office cleaning. Over 80% of the exhibitors had new products on display, all easily recognisable on each stand making it easy for visitors.

AF International, specialist suppliers of ICT cleaning products, showcased its new extensive range of environmentally - friendly cleaning solutions which have been packaged and sized specifically for small offices, home workstations and mobile workers. It also saw AF entering a new stage in its own business development as the company starts to carve its niche as a supplier to the retail market - fitting in nicely with the shows new 'The Retail Stationery Zone'.

The range has been developed to encourage more regular cleaning and sanitising of all types of office equipment, and marks a major initiative by AF to promote better standards of health, safety and hygiene wherever office equipment is used. In addition, AF wishes to encourage end-users to make more environmentally aware purchasing choices and save on packaging waste. All of AF's cleaning wipes are made from recycled pulp, which is processed without the use of harmful chemicals, before being packaged in refillable tubs made from recycled (and recyclable) plastic. Also all of AF's existing and popular ranges have re-fill options for consumers helping the environmentally conscious save on packaging waste - The re-fill range was also on show.

"We have long been advocating better standards of cleanliness in the office environment and the traditional office market has responded well to this", says Ron Jakeman, Managing Director of AF International. "Our personal-sized range means we are able to expand our campaign into the home/small office market with products that will offer retailers the right choice and value, safe in the knowledge that their choices do not adversely affect the environment. Further, our company-wide environmental policies ensure that we are reducing our carbon footprint providing all who deal with AF products ecological peace of mind".

AF have combined an ideal product mix for the retail market with new look, highly visible packaging for their new product ranges. All items are displayed in recyclable, euro-hooked boxes with product information prominently displayed and available in 15 different languages. A free purpose-built point-of-sale unit is also available.

The show enabled us to meet with new business opportunities, some new relationships are already evolving. Also it was a great opportunity to see direct and non-direct customers to arrange meetings, training and blitz days. We have already pre-booked for 2010."
