AF continues to support The National Forest

Posted on 30 April 2009 |

AF International, leading manufacturer of office cleaning products, recognises its environment responsibility and continues to support The National Forest during 2009.

AF's head quarters are in Derbyshire, located within The National Forest. Showing commitment to taking care of the local environment, AF is supporting the Forest to help towards reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Planting and protecting trees and shrubs helps remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as plants break down the gas during photosynthesis.

"The National Forest Company is keen to work with companies who are making positive changes to their impact on the environment. We are delighted that AF International has chosen to support the creation of The National Forest, the boldest environmental initiative in the country, and literally 'on the doorstep' for the 200,000 people who live and appreciate it on a daily basis." Sophie Churchill, Chief Executive, The National Forest Company.

AF's progressive environmental policy is not only demonstrated by the products it manufacturers; it is also an integral part of the company's business operations.

Ron Jakeman, Managing Director of AF International, says "We have planted another 100 trees in The National Forest and hope to continue to support this initiative well into the future. As cities expand into green belt land it is important that our forests are protected and expand, and we at AF are proud to be able to contribute to the sustaining of such an important environmental site".
